Jean-Philippe Mateta is a French professional footballer who plays as a striker for Premier League club Crystal Palace and the France national team. Mateta began his career with Châteauroux before signing for Ligue 1 side Lyon in 2016. Following a successful loan to second division side Le Havre, he signed for Bundesliga club Mainz 05 in 2018.
